  • Gamer Classifications

I remembered something a friend of mine said to me a while ago and I was just wondering if anyone else agrees with this.

My friend and I were talking about video games and at one point, he said that a guy who plays games is automatically classified as a gamer, but a girl has to play and like playing “guy games” like Halo in order to classify as a gamer. I told this to another one of my friends this and he also agreed!

Personally, I find this to be ridiculous. I’m a girl and I have never played any of the Halo games, nor do I intend to. I love video games, but I’m very picky about what I choose to play. Unless they’re survival horror, which I will play without a second thought, I’m going to pick them completely apart through online research until I’ve decided whether or not to actually play the game.

The last time I checked, this was the definition of being a gamer; playing games. Has this, at some point, changed or did it never exist in the first place?

Guys, girls, and everything in between, do you agree with the idea that unless a girl likes “guy games,” then they aren’t a gamer?

  • Blonde To Red

Alrighty, Lovelies! I need your guidance with something. I want to dye my hair red using this exact product:

My current (and nautral) hair color is dirty blonde. What I need help with, Lovelies, is what do I need to do to keep my hair from going pinkish? I once heard that if you have blonde hair and you dye it red, it'll eventually turn pink. Is this even true? And has anyone used this specific product? If so, did it work well for you? Would I need to make my hair lighter in order for it to look a brighter red like the picture on the box?

  • Songs From Your Childhood

I'm sure a lot of you can recall a song or two that you absolutely loved when you were younger.

Mine was Meet Virginia by Train. For a few years, I'd forgotten about the song, but it resurfaced a couple of months ago and I completely fell in love with it again, but for different reasons entirely. Not only is it a good song, but I can really relate to this girl that is being described. She wants to "be the queen" and live her life, yet she heatedly denies this isn't what she wants, or simply doesn't know if that's truly what she desires. Her parents have pretty average - somewhat southern - jobs and her brother seems to have been sucessful. I can pretty much relate to a good majority of that, plus I'm from Virginia, lol.

What was your, as I like to call it, guilty pleasure song from your childhood? Do you still listen to it? Has it's meaning changed as you've grown?

  • Public Gold Digging

I'm sure a lot of you out there reading this have seen, maybe even taken part in, publically picking your nose. I was inspired to write this blog after watching this one guy absentmindedly digging around in his nostril in class today. I was shocked and rather appalled, especially when his girlfriend sitting next to him turned to him half a minute after he stopped and began holding THE SAME HAND; not to mention it was the last thing I expected to see first thing in the morning, lol. I tried my hardest to keep from staring, along with keeping the grimace off my face, but it was simply like watching a train wreck.

I must ask, have any of you ever taken part in this? Or have you witnessed this? Did you say anything to the person or did you just pretend not to notice?
